Joe
Nemechek has the Fastest Toyota in Daytona 500 Qualifying
Daytona International Speedway | February 13, 2011
Joe Nemechek, sponsored by AM FM Energy, ran the fastest qualifying lap of all Toyotas attempting to qualify for the Daytona 500. Of the 16
Toyotas that attempted to qualify, Joe's lap of 48.854 seconds beat the next closest Toyota by 0.054 seconds.
"I’ve got to thank all of my guys on this team. Philippe Lopez, my crew chief, did an awesome job," explained Nemechek. "We got a new sponsor onboard with AM FM Energy.com. You should check it out. We’ve got all kinds of great products on there. It’s just great to be back here at Daytona. We struggled yesterday and didn’t really know what was wrong with our car, and we made a lot of adjustments last night and this morning. I never thought it would run that fast. You’ve got to get what you can get during qualifying. The guys tuned the motor up -- Triad, thank you very much. It was a good lap."

Conway, NEMCO Team for Speedweeks
Charlotte, N.C. | January 24, 2011
Kevin Conway, the 2010 Sprint Cup Series rookie of the year, and ExtenZe Racing announced Monday on Sirius XM Radio's The Morning Drive that they have teamed with owner/driver Joe Nemechek and NEMCO Motorsports to kick off the 2011 season.
Conway will be behind the wheel of the No. 97 ExtenZe Racing Toyota Camry during Speedweeks at Daytona International Speedway. He will compete in the Budweiser Shootout and the Gatorade Duel, where he will attempt to make the 43 car-field for the 53rd running of the Daytona 500.
"Getting to run in the Bud Shootout and attempt to make the Daytona 500 has been a lifelong dream of mine and I am pleased to get this opportunity to do so with Nemco Motorsports," Conway said. "ExtenZe and I initially worked with Joe back in 2009 running a few races in the Nationwide Series and we are excited to get back to where it all started. We worked well together in the Nationwide Series and look forward to building upon that success at Daytona Speedweeks this year and hopefully beyond."
Conway, a native of Lynchburg, Va., became the first driver to capture top rookie honors in every race in which he competed while setting a record of 29 rookie of the race awards. His best finish of the season was 14th in the July race at Daytona that gave Front Row Motorsports its best finish since the team's inception in 2005.
"NEMCO Motorsports is happy to make this announcement and we are looking forward to kicking the 2011 season off with Kevin Conway and ExtenZe Racing," Nemechek said. "We first worked with them in 2009 running in the Nationwide Series for five races and are pleased to be realigning ourselves with NASCAR's rookie of the year and ExtenZe again hoping for even better success this season.
"After Daytona we hope to be able to work out some further details to add some additional races with Conway."
